Bryan Olson created his earliest collage designs in the winter of 2010. In this short time, he has since been featured in several prestigious publications such as in Gestalten’s “The Age of Collage” and It's Nice That's "Annual 2013." Based out of his home studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, this self taught artist’s subject matter often reflects that of his own wonders: nature, space, and the ultimate unknown. A love of music provides a platform on which he creates a life, a pulsating flow, to his many works. Each piece is both cut and crafted by hand from a personal collection of found vintage materials, only adding to the works inherent presence. Brimming with existential motifs, this presence is one that shames the concepts of both ignorance and understanding. Each collage creates a space of lonesome awareness, an uninhibited exploration of what it means to exist, and a land of unknown vastness, a realm where the strange flourish and the mundane fuses with the extraordinary.
